Welcome to the March of Giants Closed Alpha

The first official Closed Alpha kicks off September 2, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share what we’ve been building at our development studio in Montreal. March of Giants is a free-to-play 4v4 WAR MOBA where you step into the role of a towering Giant, lead thousands of soldiers, and deploy tactical structures called Battleworks across the frontline of a war-torn urban battlefield.
What to Expect
This Alpha is a true testing experience, designed to gather early feedback from players like you. We’re intentionally keeping the scale small so we can closely monitor game performance, system load, and gameplay balance. This test marks the first step in our long-term roadmap:
Focused feedback collection to help shape future development
Technical evaluations to refine performance and infrastructure
Future tests which will expand regional access, add new gameplay content, and support additional languages
How to Join the Closed Alpha
To participate in the March of Giants Closed Alpha:
Visit the March of Giants Steam Playtest Page
Click “Request Access”
If selected, you’ll receive a notification email from Steam and will then be able to download the game directly from your library
Please note that access is limited to players in North America and is only available in English for this phase. Invitations will be sent in waves throughout the Alpha period, so keep an eye on your Steam notifications.
Alpha Test Schedule
The Closed Alpha runs from Tuesday, September 2 at 1 PM ET | 10 AM PT through Wednesday, September 10. To keep matches competitive and queues healthy while still keeping the tester group intentionally tight-knit, we’ve scheduled dedicated matchmaking hours during peak activity windows:
Matchmaking Hours:
September 2: 1 PM - 3 AM ET | 10 AM - Midnight PT
Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 6PM – 3AM ET | 3 PM - Midnight PT
Weekends (Sat–Sun): 10AM – 3AM ET | 7 AM - Midnight PT
By focusing matchmaking into these time blocks, we’re ensuring high-quality, fully populated PvP sessions. Outside matchmaking hours, players can:
Test new Giants
Practice against bots
Create custom games with friends

Participation in the Closed Alpha is subject to our NDA and Terms of Use. While we encourage open discussion of your experiences, gameplay capture and content sharing are strictly prohibited. Violations of this policy will be taken seriously. We appreciate your cooperation.
This is a Confidential playtest of March Of Giants and your participation in this pre-release test is subject to Section 2.8 of our Terms of Use. By participating, you agree to maintain confidentiality except that you may share your personal experiences and impressions online. However, you remain strictly prohibited from sharing any screenshots, recordings, or other visuals of in-game content. Any breach of these terms will be treated seriously. We hope you enjoy playing and appreciate your feedback.
